The unit is placed on a pre-prepared base. If the construction is in the preparation phase, a leeward place is preferred. The base of the unit should be about 400 mm from the ground.

The filter unit is adapted for connection to a suction pipe with an outer diameter of 200 mm. The pipe termination should be oriented vertically and terminated with a neck. The base (concrete monolith, blocks, chimney blocks, steel structure, ...) is used for its anchoring.

Proper fixing and alignment of the base of the unit.

  1. The DN200 suction pipe with the neck must be centered against the hole in the base plate.
  2. Ensure the height of the suction pipe neck exceeds the base of the unit by approx. 120 mm, if the pipe is not fitted with a neck, an adapter can be used.
  3. The base plate of the filter unit must be firmly secured in a horizontal leveled position (screws, welds….)

The filter unit is then simply slided in on both the base of the unit and on the neck of the suction pipe and then secured with 8 lateral screws.

An example of a base and its anchoring to the base of the unit:

A set of concrete chimney blocks (340 * 340 * 330, internal D 250mm, pitch of holes 4 * 20 * 250mm) is firmly set in the soil. The DN200 suction line of the earth register passes through its center.
Threaded rods 4 * M12 * 80 are attached to the openings of the upper chimney block D20 with a chemical anchor. The base plate is placed on the sealant bed and leveled. As soon as the sealant has dried the base is fixed with washers and nuts.
